Dr. Julie Cleworth grew up in the small town of Lac La Hache in British Columbia. After graduating from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Dr. Cleworth spent a year abroad working, traveling and exploring Europe. During this time she decided to continue her studies and graduated from UBC Dentistry in 2001 in the top 10% of her class.
Julie loves the diversity dentistry offers. She is able to connect with her patients while pursuing her many interests. She is dedicated to continually upgrading her knowledge and skills and has completed several hundred hours of continuing education. She has completed several post-graduate courses in TMJ, treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Orthodontics.
She is also a member of the International Association of Orthodontics, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C., the B.C. Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Cleworth has been living and practicing in the Bulkley Valley since 2001. In her off time she enjoys the Valley's many recreational opportunities. As an avid fan of the outdoors, she enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, fishing, golfing, paddle boarding and you'll even find her out on the ice playing hockey.
Dr. Jeannine Ray was born in Ontario and grew up in the small state of Delaware. She received a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Delaware and moved west to accept a University Graduate Fellowship with UBC.
As a graduate student, she published two journal articles of her research and completed a Master of Science degree in Physiology. Interested in working with people and her hands, Dr. Ray pursued Dentistry at UBC where she continued with research and co-authored two additional journal articles before graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2001.
Jeannine enjoys all facets of family dentistry and loves to get to know her patients. She continues to improve her skill set and pursue her special interests with post-graduate courses in aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, and the treatment of TMJ and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. She is a member of the International Association of Orthodontics, the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C., the B.C. Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Ray fell in love with the Bulkley Valley in 2001 when she joined the Driftwood Dental team. When not at work she loves painting, writing, skiing. hiking, camping and traveling. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
